Mission Possible: This CIA-Lagos manoeuvre will examine how Coronavirus shapes and influences the
Mechanics of Lagos. Yes, we envisage shortages, heightened tensions, birth rate upsurge, relationship
challenges, mobility restraints, skirmishes with the law, fatalities andultimately triumph. Architecture is
as much social anthropology as it is column and pediment, and right now Lagos is witnessing changes
unprecedented. Our intention is to document via any audio or visual medium how these changes affect our
spatial and territorial understanding of our city. If indeed we are at the cusp of a renaissance, now is a good
point to start. Later when the dust settles (which for sure it will) we will collate, interpret, and present our
findings at the next CIA-Lagos Fab-Lab.

On 26.03.2020 the Lagos State Government in response to the Covid -19 threat directed the closure of all open markets stores, public parks,
(including those in private and residential estates), swimming pools, gyms, beauty salons, Magistrate and High Courts. Banks and other Financial Institutions are encouraged to prioritise online channels. All travel to and from Lagos, whether by air or by road to be avoided, and that gatherings or congregations of any kind be limited to 25 persons. Prequel to this, all public and private schools were shut down on 23.03.2020.
