The Passport +
Loosely based on the much read and admired secondary school book The Passport of Mallam Ilia by Cyprian Ekwensi, this drama performance uses poetry as dialogue. It is set in contemporary times and explores societal themes via a range of human emotions, poetically voiced. We have kept to the original ‘a love story tinged with revenge’ plot lines, and heightened essential points of the storyline with verse. This is an amateur production and we are glad to have the unrelenting and insightful assistance of Sage Hassan, Alhanislam and Razaq Ivori. Rehearsals are ongoing and performance dates will be confirmed in the very near future.
